Wanted for Aggravated Robbery

The West University Place Police Department is asking for your assistance in indentifying the above suspect depicted in the composite sketch. This suspect is wanted for an aggravated robbery that occurred on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 11:20 PM near the intersection of Academy and Amherst.

The suspect is described as a light skinned male, approximately 25-30 years old, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 140 pounds. He has a thin build and dark brown eyes. The suspect was armed with a small black gun.

On 8/22/17, between 11:15 PM and 11:40 PM, a resident was robbed at gunpoint while walking in the 6200 block of Academy. 

The suspect is described as a slim build male (possible white, Hispanic or Asian) in his twenties wearing a black cap, black shirt, black shorts, and armed with a small black pistol. The suspect fled the area on foot northbound on Academy with no other direction of travel or no vehicle information.

This incident is currently under investigation and additional details may become available as they develop. If you have cameras facing Academy between University and Rice you are encouraged to contact the police department at 713-668-0330. The public is reminded to be aware of their surroundings and reduce distractions while walking or exercising.
