Water System Improvements

The City began a series of studies in 2020 to evaluate the systems capacity, efficiencies, and redundancy to meet customers' current and future needs.

Below is a summary of the studies completed since 2020:

High level overview of the City’s current water system.
Assess water supply capacity using TCEQ criteria.
Identify recommended Improvements

Field review of existing system.
Develop hydraulic water model to evaluate system capacity and demand under various stress test scenarios.
Analyze water age and distribution process.
Recommend improvements for capacity and system resiliency.

Additional water modeling assessments and scenarios on FNI recommendations.
Project recommendations based upon cost, feasibility, project phasing and overall benefit to the City in meeting TCEQ requirements.

High level review to determine feasibility of recommended projects, schedules and cost estimates.
