Coder Kids Camp

Scratch Coding:  Outer Space - Ages 8-13

Join us as we create our own games and animations using Scratch, a drag and drop program developed by MIT.  You will learn coding fundamentals in this space themed camp as you learn about variables, conditional statements, sequence, logic and coordinates.  If you can imagine it, you can code it.  

When:  June 22-25

Location:  Colonial Park Multi-Purpose Room

Scratch Jr - Ages 5-7

Campers will learn the fundamentals of coding as they create their own coding projects.  They will focus on coding animations and games.  At the end of the week there will be a showcase to show off their projects.  If you can imagine it, you can code it.

When:  July 6-9

Location:  Colonial Park Multi-Purpose Room

Scratch Coding:  Advanced - Ages 10-13

Campers that have used Scratch in the past will learn how to create more advanced games like platforms, RPG’s and other physics based games.  They focus will be on high quality games.  There will be a showcase for parents at the end of the week for students to show off their projects.

Coding Projects in Python - Ages 10-13

Python offers a great next step for transitioning out of Scratch.  Campers will work on text based games and projects just like Al Sweigart.  At the end of the week you will have your own test based program.
