Emergency Operations Center
The City's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is activated during disasters and other large scale events to support and coordinate the City's response and recovery efforts. The City of West University Place utilizes the National Incident Management System(NIMS).
When activated, the Emergency Operations Center located within City Hall is staffed with trained representatives from each department in the City. Fire Chief Aaron Taylor serves as the City's Emergency Management Coordinator.

Swift 911
When an emergency happens, the City of West University Place wants to make sure you and your loved ones stay safe and informed. In case of extreme weather, an extended utility outage, street closure, or other issue of public concern, our notification system, Swift911, will give you access to important information in a timely and accurate fashion. Swift911 allows us to call, text, or email all or targeted areas of the city in case of an emergency situation that requires immediate action.
