The West University Place Parks and Recreation Department will be kicking off the holiday season with its 35th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony! Join us on Monday, December 4 at 5:30 p.m. at Friends Park, 6104 Auden Street to get into the holiday spirit. The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will feature dance performances, vendors, holiday games, selfie stations, face painting, ice sculpting, and more. Enjoy holiday music and watch as the Mayor and City Council welcome the crowd before announcing the 2023 Coloring Contest Winners, who will have the honor of flipping the switch to light up the Christmas tree.
