Matt Hart has resided in West U since 2018, with his wife, Charlotte, and three children. Together, they enjoy walking with their dog around West U, participating in West U Little League, the piranhas and Rise soccer and enjoying time with friends and neighbors in parks and around the city. Matt works as a corporate attorney with Simpson Thacher, concentrating on finance, energy and infrastructure and project matters. He also teaches as an adjunct law professor at the University of Houston. Matt previously clerked for Judge Carolyn King of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in Houston. He received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and his M.A. in Applied Economics and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University.
