The City of West University Place has negotiated with the city of Houston to allow West U residents to dispose of their items at Houston's facilities starting in December 2012. The program is offered to all West U residents. In order to participate, residents will need to request a voucher from the West University Place Public Works Dept.

The vouchers cover the $75 fee otherwise charged by the City of Houston.
Vouchers will be limited and dispensed on a "1st come, 1st served" basis.
Maximum weight limit is 100 pounds, so be sure to take as much as possible on your visit.
Claiming a Voucher
All vouchers must be claimed in-person at the West U Public Works office located at 3826 Amherst St., during normal business hours (7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.).
Acceptable materials are determined by the city of Houston and are subject to change with or without notice. Residents are advised to check for updates to this list periodically by visiting the ESC website.
