The City of West University Place is pleased to announce the new Youth Fitness Challenge Course at Colonial Park has opened. The course is designed to meet playground equipment standards for children ages 5-12, and it's the perfect complement to a traditional playground system by promoting physical activity and friendly competition.
In addition, the new solar lighting and solar bollards around the park and walking path have been installed to improve the lighting in the area.
Improvements were funded through the generosity of the Friends of West University Parks Fund. Friends is please to announce that Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital is the sponsor for the new course.
