The West University Place Recycling and Solid Waste Reduction Board is sponsoring its fourth workshop on backyard composting on Saturday, October 9th from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the West University Place Recreation Center, 4210 Bellaire Blvd.
Steve Stelzer, a West University Place resident and master composter, will present the workshop on how to compost at home. Stelzer uses slides, samples, and performs demonstrations to help participants get started with composting their food waste.
Attendees will be eligible to enter a drawing for an Earth Machine Composter valued at $100.
