The City of West University Place has completed the design of Package One for the Eastside Paving & Drainage Project. The improvements were recommended after the completion of the 2021 Citywide Drainage modeling study and the preliminary engineering report (PER). Through the work of HDR Engineering and City Staff, this project has reached the 100% design milestone. The first town hall meeting was held in August 2022 when Package One reached the 75% design milestone.
Key components of Package One – University Blvd Paving and Drainage Improvements:
- Upsizing of the storm sewer system and installation of inlets to improve conveyance.
- Removal and replacement of the roadway pavement along University Blvd from Buffalo Speedway to Kirby Drive.
The City is hosting a Public Town Hall Meeting to inform all affected property owners about the upcoming construction that is estimated to begin in April 2023. Staff will provide a presentation about the project, review exhibits, and answer questions.
