City offices, the Community Building, and the West U Recreation Center will be closed in observance of Independence Day on Friday, July 4. City offices and the Recreation Center will reopen on Monday, July 7.
There will be no curbside trash, recycling, or yard waste collection on Friday, July 4. Trash and recycling normally scheduled for Thursday will be collected on Wednesday, July 2. There are no service changes to Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday collection days.
The Independence Day Bike Parade will begin at 9 a.m. Participants will line up on University Boulevard in front of West U Elementary at 8:45 a.m. The fun continues at Colonial Park Pool from 9:15 a.m. - 12 p.m. For more information, visit www.westutx.gov/parks.
