3/31/23 4:35 PM | 23-0170 | Theft | An officer was dispatched to the 3800 block of Arnold in reference to a theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown person(s) had removed items from the victim’s front porch without consent. |
3/31/23 8:40 PM | 23-0171 | Virtual Gate | Officers were dispatched to the 4200 block of Bellaire in regard to a virtual gate camera system alert regarding a stolen license plate. Officers located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the 6800 block of Braes. The vehicle refused to stop, and a pursuit was initiated. The suspect then exited the vehicle and evaded on foot but was later found and placed in custody without incident. Officers later discovered the vehicle to be stolen as well. The suspect (Kelsey Marshall) was charged with Felony Evading in a Motor Vehicle and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. The suspect (Kelsey Marshall) has no previous criminal history. |

4/4/23 9:24 AM | 23-0179 | Identity Theft | An officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department for an identity theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered that an unknown suspect put the victim’s property up for sale without consent. |
4/4/23 2:43 PM | 23-0180 | Robbery | An officer observed a suspicious vehicle, with no registration parked in the 2800 block of Plumb. As the officer was investigating, an individual quickly entered the vehicle and it fled the scene at a high rate of speed. Simultaneously, a nearby resident notified the officer that they had just been robbed by the individual that fled. Officers attempted to pursue the suspect vehicle but lost sight. The investigation later revealed that the suspect followed the victim home from a bank and tried to steal the victim’s purse as they were entering the house. An altercation transpired resulting in injury to the victim. The suspect then fled the scene without any stolen property. |
