7/12/23 2:00 PM | 23-0372 | BMV | Officers were dispatched to a burglary of a motor vehicle in progress in the 3700 block of Nottingham. Upon arrival, it was discovered that two individuals were actively attempting to remove a tailgate from a vehicle. Realizing the presence of law enforcement, the suspects quickly made their way to a nearby getaway vehicle. However, their escape was unsuccessful due to the active perimeter set up by the police. A high-risk traffic stop was executed, leading to the successful apprehension of the two suspects-one adult (Christian Mangos) and one juvenile. Upon an inventory of the vehicle, law enforcement discovered multiple loaded firearms and drugs. Both suspects have been charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon and State Jail Felony Theft. The suspect (Christian Mangos) has no previous criminal history. |
