Officers located the vehicle in the 4000 block of Bellaire Blvd, where a traffic stop was conducted. The occupants were detained without incident. The passenger (Edrin Temple) was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and all other occupants were released. The passenger (Edrin Temple) has no previous criminal history. |

During the traffic stop, it was discovered the suspect was in possession of illegal narcotics. The illegal narcotics were confiscated, and the driver (Ashley Castro) was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance. The front-seat passenger (Joshua Butler) was also arrested for having multiple outstanding municipal warrants from the Houston Police Department. The driver (Ashley Castro) has a previous criminal history of Theft x2. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown person(s) entered the unsecured residence and took the victim’s wallet and keys to their vehicle. The unknown suspect then took the victim’s vehicle without consent. |

After further investigation, it was discovered that the driver (Aveion Newell) provided a fictitious name and had an outstanding warrant out of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. He was taken into custody and charged with Failure to Identify-Fugitive.
