We are reaching out to provide an update about the Recreation Center Hours of Operation. After much consideration, including feedback from a third-party consultant, staff has recommended updating the Recreation Center Hours, effective on October 1, 2023:
Monday - Thursday 5:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Friday 5:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Please be assured we did not make this change without careful consideration. While the reduction of 1 operational hour on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings was based on usage, the morning reduction of 30 minutes on Mondays and Wednesdays was mainly attributed to staffing. The City has had difficulty filling many lifeguard shifts, resulting in hour changes over the past month. The City remains committed to providing exceptional recreational services to our residents.
