While WUPD was in route to the area, the officer observed two individuals matching the description walking in the 3800 block of University Blvd. Upon attempting to make contact, the individuals fled on foot. Officers conducted a search of the area, located both suspects, and arrested them. They were charged with evading arrest. Suspect #1: Identified as Judon Collins, whose criminal history in Harris County includes: Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Possession of a Controlled Substance (3 counts), Theft (4 counts), Criminal Mischief, Resisting Arrest, Assault (2 counts), Escape Suspect #2: Identified as Mary Crane, whose criminal history in Harris County includes: Unauthorized Absence from a Community Corrections Facility/County Correctional Center (2 counts), Possession of a Controlled Substance, Criminal Trespass, Burglary of a Vehicle, Evading Arrest or Detention, Theft |

12/3/24 6:40 AM | 24-0731 | Public Intoxication | Officers were dispatched to the 6100 block of Wakeforest in regard to a vehicle stopped in the moving lane of traffic. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. After further investigation, it was discovered the driver of the vehicle was intoxicated. The driver (Amanda Almendarez) was taken into custody and charged with Public Intoxication. The driver (Amanda Almendarez) has no previous criminal history. |
