West University Place will hold a general election on May 3, 2025, for qualified voters to elect a Mayor and four Council Members.
The mayor and councilmembers are elected from the city at large for two-year terms and can serve three consecutive terms.
If you are interested in serving your community by serving on City Council as its mayor or a member of council, you must:
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Be a resident of and have resided in the city for at least 12 months immediately preceding the election
• Be qualified to vote in the city
The period to file for a place on the ballot is Wednesday, January 15 through Friday, February 14 by 5:00 p.m., in the City Secretary’s office located at 3800 University Boulevard. Hours to file are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
