Update 9:46pm: After a through search of the area using a Houston K-9, West U drone, and a police helicopter, one suspect is now in custody. The police perimeter has been cleared. The second suspect was not located, and there is no indication the individual remains in the area. We appreciate the assistance of Houston PD and Bellaire PD during this incident. Officers will continue to monitor for any developments.
Update 8:55PM: One suspect is in custody. Officers are still searching for one additional suspect.
Heavy police presence in the 6400 block of Sewanee Ave. as officers with WUPD responded to a burglary alarm call at a residence and discovered forced entry. An officer observed an individual fleeing the area and a perimeter has been established in search of the suspect. Please avoid the area and report any suspicious activity to WUPD at 713-668-0330 or 911 for emergencies.
