An officer responded to the police department regarding a theft incident. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim had paid a contractor upfront for a service, but the contractor only started the project and never completed it.

Theft 

Officers responded to a theft in the 2700 block of Wroxton. A witness observed a suspect taking mail from a community mailbox and confronted them. The suspect fled the scene. Officers arrived and searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. It was determined that an unknown suspect had accessed an unsecured community mailbox and took mail without consent.

An officer was dispatched to the 5300 block of Buffalo Speedway in reference to a forgery incident. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown suspect forged multiple checks without consent.

An officer was dispatched to the police department in reference to a theft that had already occurred.     Upon arrival, officers learned that an unknown suspect had taken an item from the victim’s yard without consent and had also rummaged through the victim’s unsecured vehicle.

Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon/ Possession of a 

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 5200 block of Buffalo Speedway. Upon contact with the driver, the officer detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle.     A probable cause search led to the discovery of numerous drugs and a handgun.  The driver, Damon Walker, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawfully carrying a weapon. The passenger, Eric Gordon, was arrested and charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon. 

The driver and the passenger have no previous criminal history in Harris County.

An officer was dispatched to the 2700 block of Bissonnet in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle that already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown suspect forced entry into a vehicle and took items without consent.

An officer was dispatched to the police station lobby in reference to an identity theft incident that already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown suspect used the victims personal information to open an account without consent.

Unlawful Carry of a Weapon 

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Layfette. Upon contact and through investigation, it was discovered the driver had an outstanding warrant. The driver was subsequently taken into custody. An inventory of the vehicle led to the discovery of drugs and a loaded handgun. The driver, Tamera Kelly, was additionally charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon. 

The driver has previous criminal history in Harris County for criminal mischief.
