Upon contacting the driver, the officer observed the vehicle to be displaying altered registration. The DA declined charges for displaying altered registration. The driver was placed into custody and transported to the West U jail for processing for Defective License Plate and Expired Registration.

08/24/2025 04:50 PM | 25-0482 | Failure to Identify | An Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 3300 block of Amherst. Upon contact with the driver refused to id and cooperate with officer’s commands. The driver was placed into custody and transported to the West U jail for processing for Failure to Identify which was later declined by Harris County DA. The driver was released with citations and provided a court date for a latter appearance.

08/24/2025 11:54 PM | 25-0483 | Possession of Drug Paraphernalia | An Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 5900 block of Buffalo Speedway for a vehicle displaying expired registration. Upon contacting the driver, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver was detained while a probable cause search was conducted and led to the discovery of marijuana. The driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and released.

Upon contacting the driver, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver was detained while a probable cause search was conducted and led to the discovery of drugs. Once the driver Mohamed Ferchichi was transported to the West U jail, it was discovered Ferchichi had an additional baggie of drugs on his person. Ferchichi was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance and Prohibited Substance in Correctional Facility. In addition, Ferchichi was issued traffic citations for Running a Stop Sign, Drivers License Restrictions, and Failure to Display Current Registration.
