Join MD, PhD. Scott W Long currently the Medical Director of the Diagnostic Microbiology Laboratory at Houston Methodist for a short presentation on Covid-19. Dr. Long received his MD degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston TX, where he also earned a PhD in Experimental Pathology. While at UTMB, he was the recipient of a McLaughlin Fellowship for Immunity and Infectious Disease and a Sealy Center for Vaccine Development fellowship. After finishing his doctoral studies, Dr. Long completed a clinical pathology residency at Houston Methodist. Dr. Long joined Houston Methodist Hospital in 2011 and received his faculty appointment at the Weill Cornell Medical College in 2012. Dr. Long will be hosting an informational program on COVID-19.
