DWI 

An officer observed a disabled vehicle in the 5400 block of Buffalo Speedway, the result of a one vehicle accident. Upon contact with the driver, the officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. The driver displayed signs of intoxication, and a field sobriety test was administered. The driver, Darwin Gonzalez, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.

Darwin Gonzalez has no previous criminal history in Harris County.

Felon in Possession of a Firearm

An officer conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle in the 5400 block of Sewanee. Upon contact and through investigation, it was discovered that the driver and the passenger were in possession of a firearm.  The driver, Joseph Smith, and passenger, Samanatha Runke, were arrested and charged with felon in possession of a firearm. 

Joseph Smith has previous criminal history in Harris County for Possession of a Controlled Substance. 

Samantha Runke has previous criminal history in Harris County for criminal trespass, evading arrest, Failed to I.D.

An officer was dispatched to the 3600 block of University Blvd in reference to an accident. Upon arrival, it was determined a vehicle collided with a parked vehicle. Through investigation, it was discovered the driver of the vehicle displayed signs of intoxication and a field sobriety test was administered. The driver, Randal May, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. 

Randal May has a previous criminal history in Harris County for driving while license is suspended.

An officer was dispatched to the 5400 block of Rutgers in reference to a theft that just occurred. Upon arrival, the officer located the suspect with the stolen item. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office declined to accept theft charges against the suspect. The suspect issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 5300 block of Buffalo Speedway. Upon contact with the driver, the officer detected an odor of marijuana emanating from or about the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted which led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia.

Upon arrival, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the individual. Signs of intoxication were evident, and the subject was taken into custody for public intoxication.
