Auto Theft

An officer was dispatched to the police department in reference to a reported auto theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that an unknown suspect had entered the vehicle and took it without consent. Through investigation, officers located and recovered the stolen vehicle.

DWLI

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 4000 block of Marquette. During the traffic stop, it was discovered the suspect had an expired driver’s license and no proof of financial responsibility. The driver (Michael Johnson) was taken into custody and transported to the West U Jail for processing and the passenger was released. 

The driver (Michael Johnson) has a previous criminal history of Possession of Marijuana.

An officer was flagged down by a resident on the 3800 block of University in reference to a dog bite that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered the victim was bitten by a dog being walked by their owner. A citation was issued to the owner.

Suspicious Vehicle

An officer was dispatched to the 3000 block of Robinhood and 5700 block of Belmont in reference to a suspicious vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted on the suspect vehicle in the 3000 block of Robinhood. Upon contact with the driver, the officer discovered the suspect Brandon Ross to have warrants with West University PD, the passenger Marquetta Williams to have felony warrants with Harris County, the second passenger was released.  The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the West U Jail for processing.

An Officer was dispatched to the 2700 block of Sunset in reference to a theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown person had taken the front license plate of the victim's vehicle without permission.
