Possession of Controlled Substance

An Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 5400 block of Kirby. Upon contacting the driver, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver and two passengers were detained while a probable cause search was conducted and led to the discovery of drugs. The driver Roxanne Solis was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance. One of the passengers was issued a citation for Possession for Drug Paraphernalia; both passengers were then released.

Eluding 

An officer attempted to make contact with an individual in the 6700 block of Belmont in reference to a suspicious person looking into vehicles. The suspect rode away on a electric moped when being approached by the officer. The suspect then stopped in the 6700 block of Brompton and was detained. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the suspect was in possession of personal documents that did not belong to him. Van Ep Jr. was taken into custody and charged with Eluding.

DWI/ Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon

An officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the 4200 block of Bissonnett in reference to a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle initially stopped but then accelerated as the officer approached. The driver then stopped the vehicle in the 3000 block of Bissonnett. The driver Miguel Infante was detained. The driver notified the police that he had weapons in the vehicle. While being questioned, it was observed that the driver showed signs of intoxication. Miguel Infante was taken into custody and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon.

An officer was dispatched to the police station in reference to a fraud incident that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered that unknown suspects used cash apps for a Facebook Market scheme to get the victim to send money for payment.

The driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, speeding. The passenger was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both the driver and passenger were released.
