Warrant Service 

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 2700 block of Talbott in reference to a bicyclist traveling at night without a front light. Upon contact, the officer discovered the bicyclist had outstanding felony warrants. The bicyclist was placed into custody and transported to the West U jail for processing.

Possession of a Controlled Substance

An officer was dispatched to the 3700 block of Bellaire in reference to a virtual gate license plate hit. The Officer located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver and passenger were detained while a probable cause search was conducted. Upon investigation, the officer located drugs and a firearm that belonged to the passenger. The driver was released, and the passenger Sir Marquis Harrison Dorsey was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, placed into custody and transported to the West U jail for processing.

Sir Marquis Harrison Dorsey does not have a previous criminal history with Harris County.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/ No Driver’s License/ Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility

An Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 5300 block of Buffalo Speedway. Upon contacting the driver, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver and the passenger were detained while a probable cause search was conducted and led to the discovery of marijuana. The driver was issued a citation for No Driver’s License, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, and a Warning for Illegal Window Film.  Both the driver and the passenger were let go.

Tamper with Government Record/ Felony Fleeing

An Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 10900 block of Fondren road after Officer’s learned the vehicle was in connection with a previous Burglary of Habitation incident in the area. During the investigation, the suspect Oswaldo Rene Sierra-Ramos provided false identification to the Officer’s. While a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted of the suspect’s vehicle, the suspect was able to maneuver out of the restraints and fled on foot. The officers eventually lost sight of the suspect, and the pursuit was terminated. Oswaldo Rene Sierra-Ramos is charged with Tampering with Governmental Record and Felony Fleeing Detention. The charges were filed as To-Be warrants.

An Officer was dispatched to the police department to speak with a victim in reference to their license plate missing from their vehicle. The victim stated that an unknown person removed the front license plate from their vehicle without consent.

An Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 4200 block of Bissonnet. Upon contacting the driver, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver and passenger were detained while a probable cause search was conducted and led to the discovery of marijuana and a firearm. The driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Warning for Speeding and released. The passenger Jose Eduardo Garcia Rios charged with Unlawfully Carrying of a Weapon, placed into custody and transported to the West U jail for processing.

Jose Eduardo Garcia Rios does not have a previous criminal history with Harris County.
