Warrant Arrest


An officer was dispatched to the West University Police Department Lobby in reference to an officer from an outside agency who had a subject detained with outstanding warrants with West University Place.  Upon arrival, the officer took custody of the subject and was transferred to West University Place Jail for booking.

Interference with Public Duties  


An officer observed a suspicious vehicle in the 6600 block of Academy. Upon contact and through investigation of the scene, the driver became aggressive towards the officers, which resulted in the driver (Robin Lynette Norris) being arrested for Interference with Public Duties. The suspect has no criminal history to report.

Virtual Gate Hit


The virtual gate systems altered officer to a stolen vehicle traveling in the 4200 block of Bissonnet. A high risk traffic stop was completed on the vehicle in the 4300 block of Bissonnet. Through investigation it was discovered the driver (Noah Manuel Mendoza) was in operating a stolen vehicle. The driver was taken into custody for unauthorized use of a vehicle and possession of controlled substance. A search of the stolen vehicle led to the discovery of an extensive amount of credit/debit cards and mail belonging to multiple people in the Houston area. Detective conducted a follow up investigation, which led to additional charges against the suspect for fraudulent use/possession of identifying information. 

The suspect does have criminal history for:

Theft

An officer was dispatched to the 3200 block of Rice for a theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown suspect took construction material from a property without consent.

An officer was dispatched to the 2600 block of W. Holcombe in reference to an officer from an outside agency who had a subject detained with outstanding warrants with West University Place.  Upon arrival, the officer took custody of the subject and was transferred to West University Place Jail for booking.

Forgery of a Government Instrument 

An officer was dispatched to the 2800 block of Sunset Blvd. for an accident that had just occurred. Upon Arrival and through investigation it was discovered the driver was in possession of fictitious government documents. The driver (Jose Simon Perez) was taken into custody for Forgery of a Government Instrument. There is no other criminal history.
