An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 6700 block of Weslayan.  Upon contact with the driver, an odor of marijuana emanated from or about the vehicle.  A probable cause search of the vehicle led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia.

An officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department regarding a tracking device. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown suspect placed multiple tracking devices in the victim’s vehicles without consent.

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 6400 block of Buffalo Speedway. Upon contact with the driver and through investigation, it was discovered the driver was operating a vehicle on a suspended license, had no insurance, and displayed an expired registration. The driver, Dontreal Rogers, was taken into custody for all violations.

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 3700 block of Sunset. Upon contact with the driver, it was discovered the driver was operating the vehicle on a suspended license and had no insurance. The driver, Jeffrey McQueen, was taken into custody and charged with driving while license invalid.

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 4100 block of Bissonnet. Upon contact with the driver, an odor of marijuana emanated from the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of multiple types of drugs and drug paraphernalia. The passenger of the vehicle, Shirlon Fry, was taken into custody and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. The driver was released. The passenger has no criminal history.

Virtual Gate 

Officers were dispatched to Bissonnet//Sewanee regarding a virtual gate hit involving a stolen vehicle. Officers located the vehicle in the 4000 block of West Park and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and led officers in a pursuit throughout Houston. The pursuit ended when the vehicle crashed, resulting in the driver being taken into custody. The driver was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and evading. The driver is a juvenile and was transported to the Harris County Juvenile Probation Center for booking.

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 5200 block of Buffalo Speedway. Upon contact with the driver an odor of marijuana emanated from the vehicle. A probable cause search resulted in the discovery of marijuana and a loaded handgun.  The driver, Justin Campbell, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. The driver has no criminal history.

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 5500 block of Buffalo Speedway. Upon contact with the driver and through investigation, it was discovered the vehicle displayed a fictitious temporary tag. The driver admitted to purchasing multiple fictitious temporary tags over time. The driver, Selina Chacon, was taken into custody for tampering with a government record and for multiple outstanding warrants.

Burglary of a Motor Vehicle
