An officer was dispatched to meet with an outside agency who had a subject detained with outstanding municipal warrants through WUPD. Upon arrival, the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the West U Jail for processing.

An officer was dispatched to the 5900 block of Auden in reference to a theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown suspect took an item from the victim’s front porch without consent.

Public Intoxication

An officer was dispatched to the 2600 block of Pemberton Dr. in reference to a welfare check of an individual who was stumbling in the roadway. Upon arrival, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the individual. Signs of intoxication were evident, and the subject, Anay Patel, was taken into custody for public intoxication. 

Anay Patel has no previous criminal history in Harris County.

Possession of Marijuana

Officers were alerted to a recent theft that occurred just outside of West University Place jurisdiction, with the suspect vehicle reportedly heading into the city. An officer located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop in the 3700 block of Sunset Blvd. Upon making contact, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Both the driver and passenger were detained, and a probable cause search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of marijuana.

The driver, identified as Cristo Gerardo Martinez, was arrested for possession of marijuana. The passenger was taken into custody by the originating agency in connection with the reported theft.

Tampering with Government Record & Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 6300 block of Weslayan. During the stop, the driver was found to have multiple outstanding warrants and was taken into custody. Further investigation revealed the vehicle was displaying fictitious temporary tags, and the driver was illegally in possession of a firearm. The driver, Jordan Moore, was additionally charged with Unlawful Carry of a Weapon and Tampering with a Government Record.
