Over the past 7 months, the Parks and Recreation Board and staff completed updates to the 2015 Parks and Open Space Master Plan to reflect changes in West U's Parks and Recreation system. The Plan serves as a guiding document for current and future West U residents and leaders when considering decisions regarding parks and recreation facilities to ensure they evolve with the community over time.
At its October 1 meeting, the Parks and Recreation Board unanimously recommended the 2025 Updated Parks and Open Space Master Plan for City Council’s approval. On October 27, the City Council unanimously approved the updates.
