The City of West University Place is diligently monitoring the COVID-19 situation and City staff are taking steps to ensure continuity of essential services and keeping residents informed of what they can do to stay prepared.

Updates on City Services
***Changes to Acceptance of Utility Payments Options*** - We apologize for this inconvenience, but in an effort to minimize the exposure to COVID-19 for residents and employees, we will no longer accept payments for utility bills at the PD Lobby. All payments should be made either electronically, by mail or placed in the utility payment drop box located on Amherst Street (right by the post office mail box) behind the fire station.

City Services Operating Remotely and with Minimal Staffing On-Site

These services will have minimal staffing on-site during normal business hours. Other staff will be working remotely and while we do not envision a delay in the superior services we strive to provide, there may be occasions where responses are delayed. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
City Council, Board & Commission Meetings
The meetings for the City Council, boards & commissions will be held via telephone to comply with the social distancing requirements. To ensure you are receiving up to date information on Council, boards and commissions meetings, please click here to receive email or text notifications.
City Cancellations and Closures
|Municipal Facilities:||All buildings are closed to the public. The only exception is the Police Department lobby located at 3800 University Blvd.|
We encourage you to do your city business by phone or email, but if must be in person. Then the PD lobby is open for general City business Monday - Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
|Parks & Recreation:||All youth and adult Parks & Recreation programing is cancelled until further notice.|
|Senior Services:||All senior programming is cancelled until further notice.|
|Parks & Playgrounds:||All neighborhood parks, playgrounds, basketball and tennis courts are closed. |
The fields at Colonial Park and the Recreation Center are open, but while using the fields social distancing of 6 feet must be maintained.
|Pavilion & Deck Rentals:||All Colonial Park Pavilion and deck rentals are cancelled until further notice.|
All court dates through May 8, 2020 have been cancelled and will be reset.
