Appeal of an Administrative Official's Decision

A base fee is refundable if the applicant prevails and the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) so orders. The fees must be paid at the time of submittal of the application. If the appeal requires review by a planner, engineer, attorney, or other consultants the base fee is also required plus out-of-pocket review costs.

Special Exception

A base fee per exception per proposed building site affected, is applied toward the required notifications. The fees and deposits must be paid at the time of submittal of the application. If the special exception requires review by a planner, engineer, attorney, or other consultants the base fee is also required.

Variance

A base fee per variance per proposed building site affected, is applied toward the required notifications. The fees and deposits must be paid at the time of submittal of the application. If the variance requires review by a planner, engineer, attorney, or other consultants the base fee is also required.

Granting Variances

Variances may be granted in special circumstances only when all of the following are established:

1. The variance is not contrary to the public interest.
2. A special condition exists for which enforcement of the ordinances would present unnecessary hardship.
3. The spirit of the ordinance is preserved

Other Applications

A base fee per action item is applied toward the required notifications. The fees and deposits must be paid at the time of submittal of the application.
