Starting March 21, the West U Parks & Recreation Department will begin a sequence of park closures for maintenance. The parks will close at 7:00 a.m. and re-open after 4:30 pm but some sections may still be blocked off. Please view the schedule to know when each park will be closed, weather permitting.

Park Closure Schedule Small

March 16 the Di-Eggo container will be in the lobby of the Recreation Center for residents to guess how many eggs where brought to West U by the Easter Bunny!

 Hop over to look at Di-Eggo and let the guessing begin! To submit your guess email James Browning at, jbrowning@westutx.gov with your number of eggs, name, age, address and phone number. You must be a West U Resident to participate.

Winners will be announced at the Easter Spring Festival April 1.

Summer Hiring small

It’s about to get hopping around the West University Place Recreation Center. The Easter Spring festival will be taking place on the Recreation Center Fields, Saturday April 1 starting at 9 a.m. Activities will include bounce houses, a giant slide, mini-train rides, activity booths and face painting.

 

That’s not all, there will be selfie statins to take pictures with giant colored eggs, the Crescent Circus Magician and of course the Easter Bunny.

Outdoor Event Series Performance

 

March 31 at 7:00 p.m. ---The Crescent Circus is back to deliver a hilarious, wildly interactive performance at the Colonial Park Pavilion!

 

April 14 at 7:00p.m. ---   Houston Brass Quintet is back by popular demand to play songs that you can sing along and dance to!

 

April 21 at 7:00pm. --- The Spence and Paul Show will perform a world-class juggling act with crowd engagement that will create a memorable time for the whole family. Then, stick around and watch an award winning movie about Texas wildlife!
