Overview
This project will replace approximately 5,000 linear feet of pre-1939 cast iron pipes with new and larger PVC lines that will contribute to the City’s enhanced water distribution capabilities, allowing for improved water delivery and reducing the risks of leaks or breaks.
Scope of Work
The comprehensive package of improvements includes lines from the Milton Street water plant to Mercer Street. In addition to the Milton Street – Mercer Street segment, the improvements encompass multiple areas throughout the city, such as lines along Edloe Street between Rice Boulevard and University Boulevard, a new 6” line to serve West University Elementary School, and a new line on Amherst Street from Mercer Street to Poor Farm Ditch.
